Meet Our Team

We’ve dedicated our lives to compassionate pet care.

It is a great responsibility to guide the health and well-being of your companion animal. We cherish the opportunity to work together to provide education, support and exceptional patient care to you and your pets. Our hospital is a caring and dynamic environment, where people truly love what they do. The team looks forward to meeting you soon!

Dr. Harron

Dr. Harron

Veterinarian

Following graduation in 1994 with a specialized honours degree in Bio-medical Science, Dr. Harron graduated with honours from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1999. Gaining a wide variety of experiences, she practiced veterinary medicine for companion animals in a private practice and with the Mississauga-Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital. In 2007, she and her family moved to the beautiful Orangeville area to join the Dufferin Veterinary Hospital team. It was with great excitement that she became the owner of Dufferin Veterinary Hospital in 2009. With a special interest in rehabilitation therapy, she thoroughly enjoys all aspects and daily surprises of small animal veterinary practice. It is with compassion and enthusiasm that she looks forward to becoming your “other family doctor”—to help you enrich the quality of life for your animal companions. When not desperately trying to keep up with her two young children and bouncing Boxer dogs, her other interests include gardening, downhill skiing and trying not to fall off her S.U.P.
Sam, RVT

Sam, RVT

Veterinary Technician

Sam is one of our RVT’s that did her co-op in Dufferin Vet Hospital and realized she wanted to become a technician. After graduating from St. Clair College in 2018, she joined our team in 2019. Shortly after starting, she developed a new interest in dentistry as it can be very satisfying and provides a lot of relief for her patients. In her spare time, Sam enjoys dressing up her new kitten and funny sweaters (he loves it), horseback riding, and going to concerts! Sam’s future goal is to have a funny farm!

Emily

Emily

Animal Care Attendant

Emily knew from a young age she was passionate about animals and aspired to work with them in the future. Growing up on her grandparent’s small hobby farm, she grew to love the hard work and dedication it took to raise and care for animals of all sizes. She took on her first animal-related job as a Kennel Technician in 2019, during her time at the kennel, Emily studied animal care-related classes at Sheridan College. A year later, she has found herself working at High County as an Animal Care Attendant.

Emily shares a home with her friendly German shepherd named Diesel, her ginger ninja cat named Simba, and a friendly bunny named Smokey. Emily also has a love for exotic animals, having had a hedgehog and chinchilla of her own. Her goal is to adopt a pair of sugar gliders in the future.

When she is not busy working two jobs, Emily enjoys hiking, canoeing, and riding snowmobile trails during the snowy winter months.
