Dr. Harron

Dr. Harron

Veterinarian

Following graduation in 1994 with a specialized honours degree in Bio-medical Science, Dr. Harron graduated with honours from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1999. Gaining a wide variety of experiences, she practiced veterinary medicine for companion animals in a private practice and with the Mississauga-Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital. In 2007, she and her family moved to the beautiful Orangeville area to join the Dufferin Veterinary Hospital team. It was with great excitement that she became the owner of Dufferin Veterinary Hospital in 2009. With a special interest in rehabilitation therapy, she thoroughly enjoys all aspects and daily surprises of small animal veterinary practice. It is with compassion and enthusiasm that she looks forward to becoming your “other family doctor”—to help you enrich the quality of life for your animal companions. When not desperately trying to keep up with her two young children and bouncing Boxer dogs, her other interests include gardening, downhill skiing and trying not to fall off her S.U.P.
Dr. Clayton

Dr. Clayton

Veterinarian

Dr. Clayton grew up locally, in Amaranth. She completed both her Bachelor of Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Guelph with honours. After graduating in 2012, she practiced at a small animal hospital in Elora. In July of 2013, she joined the team at Dufferin Veterinary Hospital. In her spare time she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including horseback riding, skiing, camping and hiking. She shares her home with her husband, two young children, their mixed-breed mutt Teddy and his feline sidekick Cookie.

“I am very excited to join all of the wonderful staff at Dufferin Veterinary Hospital! It feels good to be practicing so close to where I grew up. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged companions at either the Orangeville or Shelburne offices.”

Dr. Hartnett

Dr. Hartnett

Veterinarian

Dr. Hartnett (Dr. Liz) grew up in Kingston and obtained her undergraduate degree in Environmental Biology at Queen’s University. She soon moved to Toronto, where she completed a Masters degree and began a career in environmental policy. On weekends she would volunteer at a local wildlife rehabilitation centre, where she rediscovered her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. Eventually, she decided to follow her heart and apply to veterinary school.

Dr. Hartnett was accepted into the Ontario Veterinary College, and graduated with distinction in 2018. She joined our team in March of 2019 and couldn’t be happier to serve the clients of our Orangeville and Shelburne locations, and their beloved pets!

In her spare time, Dr. Hartnett loves long-distance running, yoga, baking, and watching musicals. She shares her home with two cuddly cats, Ziggy Stardust and Rainbow.

Lorie grew up in the bustling town of Mulmur, population 52. She came to work for Dufferin Veterinary Hospital in 2009. She has been wowing the clients with her extreme enthusiasm for all things chihuahua ever since. In her spare time, Lorie enjoys snuggling in her chihuahua jammies by the fireplace and watching Johnny Depp movies. When Lorie is not at home you can find her taking long walks on the beach and drinking umbrella drinks. Lorie’s future professional goals include cat hair knitting, celebrity cyberstalking and veterinary hospital management. Her outgoing and friendly attitude make our day, we hope it makes yours too.

Tabitha is a Registered Veterinary Technician who joined the DVH team in March 2012. Tabitha has been working in veterinary hospitals since 2004 and graduated from the University of Guelph Ridgetown campus in 2008. Tabitha is passionate about every aspect of her job and has a special interest in rabbits and small mammals. At home, she has a crazy spaniel named Lucy, 3 rambunctious cats and a thumper of a bunny named Charlie.

Aside from being passionate about her career, Tabitha also enjoys baking, hiking with her pup and camping with her family.

Rachel, RVT

Rachel, RVT

Veterinary Technician

Rachel is a quiet but saucy American who moved to Canada in 2013. She currently resides in the middle of nowhere with a couple of mangy cats, an old stinky dog, a pale skinny farmer and a trio of rambunctious children. In Rachel’s spare time she enjoys embarrassing her children, Gangsta rap, decoupage, and glamping. From a young age, Rachel knew she wanted to work with animals. In the future, she hopes to find an actual paying career in wildlife conservation. For now, she’s happy to express anal glands, scale tartar and perform other equally glamorous necessities for your pets.
Aimmy, RVT

Aimmy, RVT

Veterinary Technician

Aimmy is one of our favourite Registered Veterinary Technicians. She is the resident cat groomer and whisperer. She enjoys chilly winter nights snuggled on the couch sipping homemade beer and fruity wine with her boyfriend, their cat Spaz and their insect squatter, who is affectionately named Doug. When Aimmy is not working with us she enjoys attending Scottish highland festivals, admiring both the games and the kilts. The games serve as her motivation to keep in shape in order to tackle that unruly husky, chase that naughty cat and also run a 5 km race with obstacles.
Trish

Trish

Client Service Representative

Trish joins our team as a Client Service Representative with 17 years experience. Originally a city girl, she now loves living the country life with her husband and their 13-year-old cat Abby. Abby is a bit on the wild side, therefore, Trish’s dream to have a home full of pets is not an option. She is always happy to greet our clients and their pets, and she will love your pets like they are her own.

When not working, she loves gardening, bicycling, hiking, and camping. She has a passion for gorillas and likes to visit Charles and his family at the Toronto Zoo. She also loves watching action movies, Supernatural, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs!

Barb

Barb

Client Service Representative

Barb joined our team in 2018 with 10 years experience as a Client Service Representative and an Animal Care Assistant. Her passion for animals goes way back to her childhood and she has passed the same love for animals on to her two children. Barb shares her home with her crazy Bengal cat Jax, her Persian cat Opie, and her 100lb lap dog Chance. When not at work she loves to travel (especially to NYC), skydive, snowboard, and go on random crazy adventures with her kids.

Georgia

Georgia

Client Service Representative

Georgia has been horseback riding her entire life. Her family owns two horses (who act like puppies), named Cabana Boy and Harry. She also owns a very goofy Golden Retriever named Zeus, and has three rescued cats named Fluffy, Smokey and Morley. She’s also about to adopt a retired Greyhound from the states! She went to school for Broadcast Journalism at Seneca College, but decided to follow her passion with animals instead.

When Georgia isn’t at the barn, she’s normally front row at a concert!
